Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Kindergarten
The kindergarten classes at High Point Elementary have been
studying the alphabet, learning to name the letters and sounds,
and how to write our names. We enjoyed the book Chicka Chicka
Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault, which is
about the letters of the alphabet climbing up the coconut tree. We
completed a variety of activities, including making name hats.
Stay tuned to see what is going on in the Kindergarten Kingdom
this year.

Our preschoolers have been busy building more than just puzzles and block towers! They’re learning how to work together, share materials, problem-solve, take turns, and strengthen those fine motor muscles along the way.
So much learning happens when little hands and big imaginations work together!
Mrs. Horne's class explored rolling, twisting and cutting Playdoh in Art also.

Our PreK–2nd grade students had a great time learning about bus safety with one of our wonderful bus drivers, Ms. Rita! She talked with students about making safe choices, following directions, staying seated, and being respectful while riding the bus. We are so thankful for Ms. Rita and all of our bus drivers who help keep our students safe each day! 🐝💚💛

Today we celebrated the retirement of Mr. Davidson and Mrs. Gilbert. A lot of stories and tears were shared as we celebrated their retirement. Even though we are excited for this new chapter in their lives we are very sad to see them leave us here at High Point. They will definitely be missed.

Here at High Point we are usually late when it comes to recognizing some really important people and this was no exception. Last week was Assistant Principal's Week and we let that one slip right by without recognizing a very important person in not just our High Point staff lives but also the kids lives. Mrs. Clayman thank you for everything you do for us and all the kiddos. We are sorry we are late but that does not mean we love you any less ❤️
